Another Pakistani actress to make her Bollywood debut, Momal Sheikh will soon be seen in the upcoming film Happy Bhag Jayegi that also stars Abhay Deol and Diana Penty in lead roles.

The official poster of the film, released recently, shows a woman (whose face is hidden) in a bridal outfit tying her shoelace and is about to run. While the poster doesn’t reveal much about the film, it directly relates to the title that says ‘Happy’ bhag jayegi. The woman in the poster seems to be ‘Happy’ (played by Diana Penty) who is running away and her attire hints that she is running from her own wedding.

As for Sheikh’s role, we know that she is essaying the role of Zoya, who is in love with Deol and also his fiancé. As per reports, her character is that of a strong, independent girl who is vocal about her views.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Happy Bhag Jayegi is a cross-border rom-com based in Amritsar and Lahore and is about a bride (Happy) who runs away from her house and somehow lands in Pakistan. The film also features Ali Fazal and Jimmy Sheirgill in important roles.

Produced by d by Anand L. Rai and Krishika Lulla, the film is slated for a release on August 19, this year.
